The Harper Court Arts Council supports organizations
serving the Hyde Park and Kenwood communities. Grants are made for new
and ongoing activities in two focus areas: arts and culture; economic
development. Priority is given to organizations with operating budgets
under $1 million and for specific projects rather than for general operating
support. Requests should address how the organization’s activities
will improve the lives of residents in Kenwood and Hyde Park.
Eligible organizations must meet the following criteria:
• A current
501(c) 3 determination letter from the IRS
• A three-year
operating history subsequent to incorporation
• A minimum
of one paid staff member
• Located
in and serving the Hyde Park or Kenwood communities
HPAC will not consider requests for:
• Activities
attempting to influence legislation or to support candidates for public
office
• Purchase of
dinner or raffle tickets or advertising in dinner programs
• Grants to
individuals
